Clear skies for Fourth of July fireworks

Happy Fourth of July!

A nice evening for viewing the fireworks, we stay dry with a partly cloudy sky. Muggy overnight, temperatures fall to the low 60s. Patchy fog possible in spots early Monday morning.

The summer heat is back this week, temperatures will soar to the upper 80s near 90 Monday. Morning clouds will mix to sunshine with only a slight chance of a stray t-shower late day. The heat index will be in the low 90s Monday afternoon. Great day to hit the pool and beat the heat, don’t forget the sunscreen!

The heat continues Tuesday expect plenty of sunshine, highs around 90 and the heat index is expected to be in the mid 90s. Once again due to the humidity and daytime heating, a stray shower or storm can’t be ruled out late afternoon or during the early evening hours. Better chance for showers and thunderstorms will come Wednesday and Thursday.

Find a way to stay cool and use caution in the heat this week. Drink plenty of water and don’t forget about your pets.
