Severe storms move through western Pennsylvania, knocking out power for thousands

PITTSBURGH — Changes are coming to the forecast with rain Friday night and cooler conditions for the start of the weekend.

Make sure to stay weather aware if you have outdoor plans Friday evening and remember when thunder roars head indoors. Steadier rain is possible overnight but most of the wet weather wraps up by early Saturday morning.

Clouds will mix with sunshine on Saturday, it will be breezy and much cooler. Highs will reach the mid to upper 60s. Clear and chilly Saturday night, lows will fall to the 40s. Sunny, dry Sunday but still cool, highs again will only reach the upper 60s near 70 degrees. Another dry stretch will kick off the next work week with a warming trend, highs will jump back to the 80-degree mark by Tuesday.
