FROST ADVISORY in effect for several local counties beginning at midnight

PITTSBURGH — A FROST ADVISORY will be in effect for most of our viewing area starting at midnight, the National Weather Service said.

The chill really settles in tonight! A frost advisory will be in effect from midnight until 9 AM Sunday morning. Make sure to cover your outdoor plants before bed tonight.

It will be a sunny but cool Sunday, so make sure to layer up if you are heading out for fall activities. Highs are running below average into the start of the week; temperatures will only make it to the upper 50s near 60 degrees Sunday afternoon. Expect chilly overnights and sunny afternoons as a dry stretch will be in place through Wednesday. Temperatures will get warmer Tuesday and Wednesday; afternoon highs will rise to the upper 60s and low 70s. This warm-up won’t last for long as showers return Thursday with cooler air.
