PITTSBURGH — Trade the umbrella for extra layers Friday, as cool air spills into the area. High temperatures will struggle to make it out of the 40s, well below the average high of 58 degrees for this time of the year.
Clearing skies will allow temps to drop even more late Friday, with morning lows forecast below freezing for much of the area early Saturday. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the low 50s, so if you can hold off on leaf raking or Halloween decorating until then it will feel much better.

Trick-or-treating will be dry but chilly for most areas, and everyone will get to enjoy a Full “Blue” moon Saturday night. The second full moon of October will help set the stage for an enjoyable Halloween night.
