A little wind will keep wind chills in the 20s though, so add an extra layer if you’re heading out sledding.

The weekend starts dry with warmer air pushing highs into the 40s. A quick moving system will bring a mix of rain and snow showers later Saturday through early Sunday.

This system should not disrupt any last-minute shopping plans. The weather pattern will be active as we head into the week of Christmas with several more systems bringing rain and snow.

Severe Weather Team 11 is also tracking a stronger system set to move through late next week, and whether it could give us a white Christmas.
