Icy spots possible Thursday with wind chills in the single digits

PITTSBURGH — Winter is back! Overnight snow squalls and snow showers should continue to wind down early this morning. But icy spots are possible wherever roads haven’t been treated. Take it slow.

The chill will be the big headline today as highs only reach the low 20s with wind chills in the single digits and lower teens. Winds could occasionally gust to 35 mph throughout the day.

Highs will start to rebound this weekend, but the nights will remain quite cold thanks to calming winds. Our next chance for precipitation will come Sunday, mainly in the form of rain.
