PITTSBURGH — It’s the coldest morning in almost a year with widespread low teens and upper single digits. We’ll warm up nicely this afternoon though as highs push close to 40 degrees with increasing clouds.
The next front will bring us a quick hit of snow overnight, but it could be heavy in spots. An inch or two of snow will accumulate in most areas before it wraps up early Tuesday morning, but impacts will be highest north and east of Pittsburgh where temperatures will be closer to freezing.
Aside from a flurry or snow shower during the day tomorrow, much of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be dry with seasonable temperatures. We’ll see a little more sun late in the week as highs approach 50 degrees. Warmer air will bring in rain showers by the second half of the weekend.
