The Pittsburgh region is in for a humid, soggy weekend

PITTSBURGH — Showers and storms are possible in spots through early evening. Most storms should wrap up around dinnertime. Overnight, it will be muggy with patchy fog. A passing shower is possible by daybreak Sunday morning.

As storm chances continue over the next few days, it’s a good idea to be prepared. If you are going to be outside, take an umbrella and make sure to have a plan in place to seek shelter out of a storm if needed.

Sunday will be very warm again with a mix of sun and clouds. Scattered showers and storms are expected with downpours likely, especially around dinnertime Sunday evening. Watch for heavy rain, lightning and possible minor flooding.

Thunderstorm chances continue through Monday ahead of the approach of the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Tropical rain from that system may impact our area by Tuesday and Wednesday.
