PITTSBURGH — The warm weather continues through the remainder of the weekend. Wet weather is possible early this evening along with lightning in spots, mainly before 8 p.m. When thunder roars remember to head indoors. It will be partly cloudy this evening and turn clear overnight. Lows could fall to the upper 50s.
Sunday morning will be dry and warm with a sunny start. Clouds will increase in the afternoon. Highs will reach the low 80s. Rain and scattered storms are expected to return Sunday afternoon and evening ahead of the next front. A few storms could become strong and bring gusty winds. It’s a good idea to stay weather aware Sunday late afternoon and early evening.
Much cooler air follows Sunday night into the start of the next work week. Monday will be chilly and breezy with scattered showers around, highs will only hit near 50 degrees. That’s about a 30-degree drop in highs from Sunday to Monday! Turning cold Monday night with a few snow showers in the ridges and near I-80 with flurries locally.
Temperatures will begin to warm back up Wednesday.
