PITTSBURGH — Gear up for a little bit of everything as you head out early Wednesday, as a game-changing storm brings soaking rain for some and steady snow for others.
The day will start dry, but the afternoon commute will include rain south of I-70, with a mix of rain and snow around Pittsburgh.

Rain will be steady at times, with ponding on roads and sharp rises in creeks and streams possible.
From Pittsburgh north, temperatures could be cold enough for several hours of snow before midnight, especially north of Pittsburgh. A slushy accumulation will leave roads slick.
Colder air filters in Thursday, and Friday will bring a winter jolt – with wind chills in the single digits.
