PITTSBURGH — You'll need the umbrella and maybe an ice scraper early Thursday, as a complicated storm brings rain for some and a wintry mix of snow and freezing rain for others.
The greatest threat for icy travel will develop north of Pittsburgh, especially in Butler and Armstrong counties and near I-80.
If you want to receive ALERTS about weather, download our Severe Weather Team 11 App.
Even a light glaze of ice will make travel dangerous, so tune in to 11 Morning News starting at 4:30 a.m. for a live look at current weather and road conditions with meteorologist Scott Harbaugh and traffic anchor Trisha Pittman.
Milder temperatures will change any ice to rain near daybreak – with off-and-on rain through the day.
Stay with our team of meteorologists for hour-by-hour updates on when and where the biggest impacts will develop.
