PITTSBURGH — More snow showers will move through the region Tuesday night. Most areas will see less than one inch of additional snow accumulation. However, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the ridges and higher elevations.
Enjoy a break between winter systems Wednesday and maybe even some peeks of sunshine. It will still be cold, but winds will decrease through the afternoon so the wind chill won’t have as much of a bite.
I just checked in with NWS - We've received 8.5" of snow since the snow began days ago. Right in the forecast range of 6-10"! And, there may be a bit more later tonight! See everyone on @wpxi. #PAwx #Pittsburgh pic.twitter.com/M1xGIcBTw1

Another wintry system will bring a mix of rain and snow late Thursday into Friday with some of the coldest air in a couple of years moving in this weekend.
Arctic cold will settle into the area Sunday into Monday bringing the threat of wind chills below zero. Severe Weather Team 11 is tracking this system and it’s impacts which could mean higher heating costs and frozen pipes.
